Between Friday, November 29, and Giving Tuesday, December 3, we donated a pack of sleeves for each box of sleeves purchased on our webshop. By doing this more than 4000 kids were given a helping hand taking their first steps into the card game community.
Hatching the next generation of players
We have partnered with MagiKids, a charity aimed at kids and dedicated to building communities, forging friendships and fostering skills such as critical thinking, math, and reading through the joy of card games.
Why MagiKids?
For 25 years, Dragon Shield has protected our treasures—and our greatest treasure has always been our community. The future of this community is in classrooms today, with kids ready to build their first decks and play their way into this amazing world.
MagiKids helps spark that journey, giving kids a place to learn, make friends, and discover a community where they belong. We’re passionately committed to this mission, knowing it can make a difference for all kids, especially those who, like some of our dragons, may struggle to find friendships and connection. That’s why our dragons have chosen to lend their wings to support MagiKids in helping kids forge the future of this incredible community.
Why not Black Friday?
It’s not that we dislike Black Friday; we just think it could be so much more than a weekend of deals and discounts. So instead of focusing on that, in 2024 we chose to make the weekend about you, the community.
